The first book I read.

My favorite book is The Hunger Games, it's a special book for me because it was the first one I read because I really wanted to and not because it was required by school. Also this story is what caused my addiction to dystopic stories.

The Hunger Games is about Panem a city made up of thirteen districts surrounding the Capitol, the center of the country. The Capitol, to demonstrate to the districts who rules, created the Hunger Games, a survival game that is broadcast on television and that everyone is forced to see. Twenty-four teenagers between the ages of twelve and eighteen, a boy and a girl from each district, are randomly selected to participate in the games. The goal is simple: fight to the death and only one of the twenty-four can win.

In this atmosphere of oppression lives Katniss Everdeen, a sixteen-year-old girl from the twelve district who hunts to feed her mother and her twelve-year-old sister Prim. But everything changes when Prim is chosen to go to the games. Katniss is offered without hesitation to take her place.

This story was written by the wonderful Suzanne Collins who also participated in the direction of the film based on the book. Some of the characters such as the protagonist Katniss Everdeen was played by the famous actress Jennifer Lawrense, also act in the film: Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Donald Sutherland, the singer Lenny Kravits  and the recently deceased Philip Seymour Hoffman.

What i wanted to be...

When i was younger i wanted to be a psychologist, teacher and vet, i wanted to be all of them together  if i could , my dad doesn ' t like that idea but he never told me what he wanted me to be, that was what made me feel more free to choose what i really wanted to study, but i knew that deep on his heart he wanted me to be some like i lawyer or a doctor. Two years before my high school studies ends i realized that chemistry all this time could be an opcion that i didn't see, some months later i knew that Food Engineering would be what i wanted to study, because i  want to make a change someday, it doesn't matter if it's a small change, and it couldn't be better about something that affects us every day, Food!. So when i applied to the university, Food Engineering was my first option and Chemistry and Pharmacy was my second. In the future when i graduate from university i would like to work in food quality control or research. And finally my experience at t...

Literature.

I '  m not very related to some expressions of art as painting, theater or photography, but I ' m close to literature. When I was younger I used to read books because that was what my classmates and I had to do, but it wasn '  t  something that I liked, on the contrary it was very overwhelming and this doesn ' t mean that books were bad, I mean sometimes you can read a magnificent book that is the favorite of someone in the world but you will not feel that way, because maybe the book is not for you or because it was not the righ moment  to feel every word that the author wants to transmit you. I learned this because with all these books I felt absolutely nothing except one, "Autopista del sur" by Julio Cortazar, this book made the  little me know that not everything was boring in literature. A few years later when I was about 15 years old I saw a review of a book on YouTube and I decided to read it on my own, it was "The Hunger Games" by S...
